"Although I have dabbled in many genres over the years, I have always had a soft spot for poetry. I find it comforting, both reading and writing it; reading a stellar poem is like sipping on a warm cuppa, satisfyingly delicious; and writing a poem allows me to transform my (sometimes forlorn, sometimes blissful) thoughts into words so they no longer exist within the confines of my own head. Moral of the story is, I love poetry in all its beautiful, melancholy glory. I love being able to tell a story from start to finish in just a few lines, a few short verses... A story that may resonate with others. I write poetry mainly for myself, but having the opportunity to create something that others may relate to as well is just as important to me."
